Documented
Microsoft Graph
Graph exposes supported Microsoft 365 resources subject to delegated or application permissions and tenant policy.
Microsoft / Documents, communication, and collaboration
Evaluate Microsoft 365 by tenant, site, library, list, mailbox, team, identity, retention, sensitivity, and the Microsoft Graph or SharePoint interface required by the workflow.
What it is designed to do
Managing organizational documents, lists, communication, collaboration, identity, and related Microsoft cloud work across configured services.
Best suited for
Organizations already using SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft identity as core collaboration infrastructure.
Buyer boundary
This profile explains documented product and integration surfaces. It is not an endorsement, procurement recommendation, guarantee of compatibility, or substitute for checking the buyer’s product, edition, region, licences, configuration, terms, permissions, and workflow.
Normal operating records
SharePoint or another Microsoft 365 service may remain authoritative for approved documents, lists, messages, or identities. A copied file or AI index must retain source identity, version, permission, and retrieval time and must not silently become the source of truth.
Typical AEC uses
Records and information
Tenant, site, drive, library, folder, item, and version
SharePoint list and list item
Mailbox message and attachment where approved
User, group, and service identity
Permission, retention, and sensitivity context
Documented access routes
A vendor interface establishes a possible technical route. It does not establish record authority, downstream security, correct mapping, complete processing, accepted output, or permission to act.
Documented
Graph exposes supported Microsoft 365 resources subject to delegated or application permissions and tenant policy.
Documented
Microsoft Graph can deliver supported change notifications through webhooks, Event Hubs, or Event Grid.
Documented
SharePoint documents list and document-library webhook patterns; notifications usually require a follow-up change query.
Documented
Approved files, lists, exports, mailboxes, and folders can support bounded workflows when identity and permissions are preserved.
Native IDs and crosswalks
Identity, permission, and authority
Known implementation limits
Network drives, older SharePoint sites, local Office files, and Microsoft 365 cloud services may coexist. Migration is not automatically required; first establish ownership, permission quality, version history, retention, and whether a controlled connection can meet the workflow need.
A webhook is a change signal, not the changed record or proof of successful processing
Graph coverage and permissions differ by Microsoft service
Application permissions can create broad access if poorly scoped
SharePoint folder structure alone is not a durable business data model
Where StructuredLayer may connect it
The actual implementation boundary is confirmed from the buyer's product, workflow, records, permissions, difficult cases, required direction, consequences, and acceptance conditions.
Connect site, library, item, message, and attachment IDs to project records
Monitor approved changes and retrieve the actual source record
Apply permission-aware document retrieval and citations
Route conflicting versions and missing metadata for review
Keep accepted documents and retention controls in Microsoft 365
Questions before scope
Which tenant, sites, libraries, lists, mailboxes, and teams are in scope?
Is delegated or application access appropriate?
Which permissions and sensitivity labels must flow downstream?
What is the authoritative version?
How will missed notifications and expired subscriptions be reconciled?
Official vendor documentation
Features, endpoints, scopes, licences, regions, plans, limits, and vendor terms can change. The implementation must confirm the current documentation for the buyer's actual environment.
