Is Replicate an AI agent platform?+
Replicate primarily provides models that can be called through an API. StructuredLayer can place selected models inside a controlled workflow with triggers, records, permissions, webhooks, validation, storage, monitoring, and human approval. The complete operating path is the agent system.
Can one workflow use several AI providers?+
Yes, when the providers and information boundaries are approved. One provider may handle reasoning, another may interpret images, a specialist model may generate media, and a coding or browser agent may operate an approved tool. Every result returns to the same workflow record and review path.
Will all of our data be sent to every model?+
No. Each task should receive only the approved context required for its purpose. Provider access, information classification, retention, regional requirements, permissions, and prohibited uses should be defined before live operation.
Can StructuredLayer use OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or specialist models?+
Potentially. Provider selection depends on the task, representative test results, security requirements, data terms, region, quality, latency, cost, integration method, and client approval. StructuredLayer is not limited to one model provider.
Can agents work through software that has no API?+
Sometimes. Approved exports, inbox rules, shared folders, database access, desktop workflows, or authorized browser activity may be considered. Feasibility depends on permission, platform terms, identity, interface stability, security, monitoring, and failure recovery.
Can coding agents build integrations and dashboards?+
Coding agents can assist with approved connectors, transformations, dashboards, tests, documentation, and monitored software changes. Their work should remain inside controlled environments and pass technical review before production deployment.
Where are generated files stored?+
Accepted outputs should be moved into client-approved persistent storage and connected to stable business records. Temporary provider links should not become the permanent source of truth.
How are agent costs monitored?+
Each run can record provider, model, token usage, media duration, API calls, browser activity, execution time, retries, storage, and third-party charges. Dashboards can compare cost with accepted outcomes and human review effort.
Does using several providers make the workflow unreliable?+
It can if providers are connected without orchestration. The workflow layer should define routing, fallback, validation, timeouts, retries, accepted formats, storage, and escalation so provider changes do not silently alter the business outcome.
Does a successful test mean the workflow should become autonomous?+
No. Testing may show that the task should remain assistive, that only part should be automated, that stronger records or controls are required, or that the task should not proceed. Consequential actions can remain under human authority.
