AI feature evaluation
Page naming, scale assistance, counts, geometry, scope extraction, and rate preparation have different evidence, error types, tolerances, and consequences. One aggregate accuracy percentage is not enough.

Keep the tool when it performs its assigned operating role, preserves required evidence, has an accountable owner, and can participate in the wider workflow.
Connect records when duplicate entry or delayed status creates material work and the source, identity, permissions, validation, and recovery boundary can be defined.
Limit the tool to a bounded role when exports, permissions, reliability, data handling, or change control do not support broader authority.
Replace when the current component cannot meet the agreed operating need and migration, parallel testing, acceptance, training, support, rollback, and exit are funded.
Buyer questions
The answer depends on the buyer's actual workflow, data, team, systems, controls, commercial terms, and implementation capacity.
Not automatically. A smaller team may operate well with a controlled set of simple tools when documents, quantities, calculations, versions, approvals, and backups are clear. Team size alone does not determine the right architecture.
Not at a universal employee count. Warning conditions include fragile formulas, conflicting copies, unclear libraries, weak permissions, poor review history, difficult collaboration, inaccessible logic, and no dependable handover or support owner.
Usually not by itself. First assess the core workflow, records, calculation evidence, collaboration, portability, permissions, integration, reliability, and complete cost. Evaluate each AI feature on representative work.
